The Cité
Meyrin's planned 1960s satellite town is laid out as freestanding apartment blocks set in green space. On the map it looks very different from the older village streets.

Meyrin Map Poster & Print
Meyrin lies on the north-western edge of Geneva, close to the French border. Its map is unusually full of large, distinct elements. The long runway of Geneva Airport runs along one side of it. The CERN campus spreads out to the west, and in between sits the Cité de Meyrin, a planned residential town from the 1960s.
The Cité is often described as Switzerland's first satellite town. It was built as a self-contained neighbourhood of apartment blocks, schools and shops arranged around open green space. CERN, the European particle physics laboratory, is based here too. Its largest accelerator runs in a ring about twenty-seven kilometres long, buried beneath the surrounding countryside.
A Meyrin map poster brings these very different shapes together: the straight runway, the modernist blocks of the Cité and the cluster of laboratory buildings. The Blueprint style is a natural fit for a place so closely tied to engineering and science. Noir gives the airport and road network a strong graphic presence.

CERN campus
The laboratory's main site lies on the western edge of Meyrin. It shows as a large, dense cluster of buildings and internal roads near the French border.
Airport runway
The long, straight runway of Geneva Airport runs past the commune. It is the most striking single line on the poster.

Zakaj Meyrin
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Meyrin draws physicists, engineers and international staff from all over the world, many of whom spend only a few years here. A map of the place is a lasting keepsake of that time, and a meaningful gift when someone leaves CERN or Geneva.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with the years you spent here. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the setting particularly well.
