Local lanes
The town’s narrow streets form a compact, irregular network that contrasts clearly with the straighter main roads passing close by.

Milavittan Map Poster & Print
Milavittan is a town in Tamil Nadu’s Thoothukudi district, just north-west of the port city of Thoothukudi on the flat coastal plain of India’s far south. The land here is low and largely dry. Its map is shaped by roads running out from the city, scattered residential clusters and open ground between them.
The wider district is known for its port and for the salt pans along parts of the coast. The influence of the neighbouring city shows in the way Milavittan’s streets connect to the main routes. Within the town, lanes are compact and practical, lined with homes, workshops and small shops, and water tanks and fields mark the edges.
A Milavittan map poster is a close study of a place that sits in a city’s orbit but keeps its own identity. The composition shows the town’s lanes, the roads toward Thoothukudi and the open land around it. It is a personal choice for families from the area, especially those now living in Chennai, the Gulf or further away.

Roads to the port
Main routes run toward Thoothukudi, tying Milavittan into the larger urban area and giving the map its dominant directional lines.
Open coastal plain
Around the built-up area, the flat land is marked by fields, water tanks and open plots, which leaves generous white space in the composition.
