Model Town Map Poster & Print
Model Town is one of Lahore's best-known residential areas and one of its earliest planned suburbs. It was founded in the early 1920s as a cooperative housing society in the spirit of the garden-city movement. At a time when the old walled city was tightly packed, it offered generous plots, tree-lined roads and plenty of open space.
Its plan is instantly recognisable from above. Roads form concentric rings around a large circular park at the centre, radial roads cut across them, and the whole area is divided into lettered blocks. Lahore has since grown all around it, but the geometric layout remains clear, and it is one of the most distinctive street patterns in the city.
A Model Town map poster shows the rings and radials as a single, almost diagrammatic image, closer to a drawing than a typical city map. It speaks to families who have lived here for generations and to newer residents. It will also appeal to anyone interested in how early twentieth-century planning shaped South Asian cities.

Concentric rings
Ring roads encircle the park at intervals, creating a pattern of nested circles that makes Model Town recognisable at a glance on any map of Lahore.
Lettered blocks
Radial roads divide the rings into blocks identified by letters, a system residents still use for directions and addresses.

Zakaj Model Town
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Few neighbourhoods have a plan as graphic as Model Town's. The rings and radials work well simply as design, and for people who grew up on these roads they also carry memories of home, school runs and evenings in the park.
Personalise the title with your block or family name, add a date to the subtitle and keep the coordinates line. Blueprint emphasises the planned geometry, Noir makes the circles glow against a dark ground, and Classic black & white, Paper and Sand are available too.
