Mohnyin Map Poster & Print
Mohnyin lies in the southwest of Kachin State in northern Myanmar, in a wide valley ringed by forested hills. The town grew along the railway that runs north from Mandalay toward Myitkyina. On a map its streets form a modest grid close to the line, with rice fields and villages spreading across the valley floor.
It is the centre of a district that includes Indawgyi Lake, one of the largest natural lakes in Myanmar, which lies to the west. The surrounding hills and river valleys are home to several ethnic communities, and the town serves as a local hub for trade and transport.
A Mohnyin map poster frames a valley town between rail and hills. The railway gives the composition a clear axis, the streets fill in around it, and the countryside opens out into field boundaries and winding streams. It is a restrained, peaceful map with lots of breathing room.

Valley fields
Rice fields and small villages cover the flat valley floor, crossed by narrow roads and channels in fine, even lines.
Surrounding hills
Forested hills rise at the edges of the valley. On the map they leave broad open areas with only a few winding tracks.
