Two river edges
The Bronx River on the west and the Hutchinson River on the east bracket the city. On the map they appear as narrow green corridors along the borders.

Mount Vernon Map Poster & Print
Mount Vernon sits immediately north of the Bronx in Westchester County, and on a map it is small and tightly built. The Bronx River runs along its western edge and the Hutchinson River along the east, so the city is framed between two thin lines of water. In between is a dense grid of residential streets, broken by the diagonal cuts of commuter rail lines.
The city has long called itself the City of Homes, and the map bears that out, with block after block of houses and small apartment buildings. Its position on the Metro-North lines made it an early commuter suburb of New York. St. Paul's Church, a colonial-era national historic site, stands on its southern side.
A Mount Vernon map poster shows a city that is mostly streets, with a few meaningful breaks. There are the rail corridors, the parkways along the rivers and the line where Westchester meets the Bronx. It is a detailed, close-grained print that rewards a second look, especially for anyone who knows its blocks.

Rail diagonals
Metro-North lines slice through the grid at an angle, marking out neighbourhoods and giving the print strong directional lines.
Dense residential blocks
Most of the frame is filled with short, regular residential blocks, which matches the city's long-standing nickname as the City of Homes.

Zakaj Mount Vernon
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Mount Vernon is where plenty of New Yorkers first bought a house or grew up just past the city line. A map of its streets makes a warm, specific gift for a first home, a graduation or a family that has moved on.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a street name, a move-in date or a family name. The poster comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
