Delta channels
Rivers and creeks curve around the town in several directions, dividing the land into irregular pieces and giving the poster its most striking lines.

Myaungmya Map Poster & Print
Myaungmya lies in the Ayeyarwady Region of Myanmar, in the low, flat country of the Irrawaddy delta. On a map, water is everywhere: river channels and creeks wind around and through the town, and beyond the built-up area the land is divided into paddy fields crossed by embankments and narrow tracks. The streets of the town follow the waterways, gathering near landings and markets.
As a district centre, Myaungmya has long served as a trading and transport hub for the surrounding rice-growing villages, many of which are reached as easily by boat as by road. Its layout is modest and practical, with a small central grid, monastery compounds and pagodas, and houses that thin out toward the fields and water on every side.
A Myaungmya map poster is shaped less by streets than by the rivers that surround them. The meandering channels create strong, organic lines across the page, while the town itself forms a compact cluster at their centre. In Blueprint the water stands out in a technical way, and in Paper the composition feels closer to an old survey sheet.

Compact centre
A small grid of streets near the river landings holds the market, shops and public buildings, forming the densest and darkest part of the map.
Paddy landscape
Beyond town, rice fields separated by bunds and small canals extend in every direction, a fine, quiet texture that surrounds the settlement.
