Upland plain setting
The town sits on open ground between Zagros ridges, so its streets spread evenly instead of following a coastline or river. This gives the map a balanced, centred composition.

Nahāvand Map Poster & Print
Nahāvand lies in the south of Hamadan Province, on an upland plain framed by ridges of the Zagros. From above, the town is a compact pattern of streets and lanes set among orchards and fields, with roads leaving in several directions toward neighbouring valleys. Streams from the surrounding hills cross the plain, and the mountains sit close enough to give the area a clearly bounded feel.
The name is known well beyond the region because of the Battle of Nahāvand in 642. Arab armies defeated the Sasanian forces there, and the battle is often described as the end of organised Sasanian resistance. People have lived in the area for a very long time, and the town remains the agricultural centre of the plain around it.
A Nahāvand map poster focuses on the town's plain geometry: the main avenues, the denser centre and the way the built area thins into farmland at its edges. In black and white, the fine detail falls away and what remains is a clear portrait of a highland town shaped by roads, water and fields.

Radiating roads
Several routes leave the centre toward neighbouring towns and valleys. They draw long lines across the plain that tie the dense urban core to the countryside around it.
Orchard edges
At the edges, the regular street pattern gives way to farmland and scattered lanes. The soft transition shows how closely the town is tied to the fields around it.

Zakaj Nahāvand
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
For families from western Iran and those living abroad, Nahāvand is often a place of origin more than a destination. A map of its streets holds that connection simply. The poster suits a study, hallway or living room where a quiet reference to home belongs.
Add a title in your own words, a subtitle such as a family name, and a date or coordinates line. Pick from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Then download the HD files or order a print on matte paper, framed or unframed.
