Planned layout
Straight avenues and evenly sized blocks reflect the town's 1960s origins. The result is a tidy, geometric street pattern that reads clearly on the poster.

Neftegorsk Map Poster & Print
Neftegorsk, in the south of Samara Oblast, was built in the 1960s to serve the region's oil fields, and its name simply means oil town. That origin shows clearly from above. The town has the regular, deliberate plan of a Soviet new town, with straight main streets, large residential blocks and open spaces set out in advance rather than grown over centuries.
Around it is the open steppe of the Volga region. Farmland, tracks and the long, straight lines of pipelines and service roads stretch out in every direction. The contrast is sharp: a compact, geometric town surrounded by a wide, nearly flat landscape.
A Neftegorsk map poster has an almost architectural feel. Its lines are clean and its proportions balanced, which suits the black-and-white format especially well. It is a portrait of an industrial town that was planned from the start.

Microdistricts
Residential areas are grouped into large blocks with open courtyards. This gives the map a rhythm of solid and empty spaces that is typical of Soviet planning.
Steppe surroundings
Flat farmland and long service roads surround the town, leaving wide, quiet margins that frame the compact centre.
