Elbe river
The Elbe curves past the town across a wide, flat floodplain. It is a strong natural line that anchors the map and contrasts with the geometric shapes nearby.

Neratovice Map Poster & Print
Neratovice lies in Central Bohemia on the Elbe (Labe), a short distance north of Prague. The map shows a town spread across flat land beside the river. It has a small older core, large post-war housing estates and an extensive industrial area. Roads and railway lines cross the plain in long straight lines, linking the town with Prague and Mělník.
The town's growth in the twentieth century was closely tied to the Spolana chemical works, which occupies a large site along the river. It is still one of the most prominent features on the map. Around it, the residential areas, parks, schools and sports grounds form a more varied, finer-grained pattern.
A Neratovice map poster brings together three elements: the river bending across the plain, the geometric blocks of the industrial site and the repeated shapes of the housing estates. In black and white, this mix of water, industry and housing makes a strong, structured composition that tells the story of a modern industrial town.

Chemical works
The Spolana site covers a large area beside the river. Its halls, tanks and internal roads create a dense, angular pattern on the print.
Housing estates
Post-war apartment blocks are arranged in repeating rows and courtyards. They give the residential districts a regular, rhythmic texture.

Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Neratovice speaks to people who grew up in its estates, worked at the chemical plant or commute to Prague from here. Its map is honest and graphic, showing a working town in clear lines rather than a postcard view.
