Close-knit street fabric
Short, irregular blocks and narrow lanes fill most of the frame, forming a fine texture that looks almost like woven cloth when printed in black and white.

Novaliches Proper Map Poster & Print
Novaliches Proper is a barangay in the Novaliches district of northern Quezon City, part of the National Capital Region. From above it is a tightly packed field of short streets and alleys, broken by a few main roads that carry traffic between the old town centre and the rest of Metro Manila. Blocks are small and irregular, the pattern of a place that grew in steps rather than to a single plan.
The wider Novaliches area sits upstream of Manila on the edge of the La Mesa watershed, whose reservoir supplies much of the metropolis with water. The Tullahan River rises from that reservoir and winds west through the district, so on a map a thin, meandering line can often be traced between the grids of houses, marking where the land drops toward the stream.
A Novaliches Proper map poster turns this compact neighbourhood into a study of density. The finest lines show lanes and side streets, heavier strokes pick out the arterial roads, and open patches read as schoolyards, church grounds or the green margins near the river. It is a portrait of everyday Manila at a scale where each block is still legible.

Arterial roads
A handful of wide roads cross the barangay and connect it to the rest of Quezon City, giving the dense grid a clear structure of main lines.
Tullahan River corridor
The river that flows out of the La Mesa reservoir winds west through Novaliches, and its curving line interrupts the grid of houses in the wider area.
