Nu‘ayjah Map Poster & Print
Nu‘ayjah is a district in the southern part of Doha, Qatar, made up mainly of residential neighbourhoods. On the map it appears as a dense, regular grid of small blocks, the plots of villas and compounds, bounded by the large arterial roads and ring roads that structure the city. The contrast in scale between the broad highways and the fine local streets is immediate.
Like much of Doha, the district has developed rapidly, with planned neighbourhoods laid out on flat desert land. Mosques, schools and local shopping areas are distributed through the residential fabric, and the street network is designed around the car, with wide junctions and long, straight connectors linking the district to the rest of the city.
A Nu‘ayjah map poster turns this planned landscape into a strong geometric composition: heavy lines for the main roads, a fine repeating texture for the residential streets, and occasional open spaces where larger plots or empty land remain. It is an abstract-looking map with a very personal meaning for those who live there.

Arterial roads
Broad highways and ring roads frame the district, drawn as heavy lines that divide the neighbourhood into large, clearly defined sections.
Flat planned layout
Built on level ground, the district follows a deliberate plan, so streets run straight and evenly spaced, giving the map a calm, measured rhythm.
