Nürtingen Map Poster & Print
Nürtingen lies on the Neckar southeast of Stuttgart, in the Esslingen district. The river runs through the valley floor, and the historic centre climbs the slope above it, with streets rising toward the town church of St. Laurentius. On a map, the old town is a compact cluster on the hill, while newer districts and industrial areas spread along the valley and up the surrounding heights.
The poet Friedrich Hölderlin spent his childhood in Nürtingen, and the town still honours that connection. Today it is also a university town, home to a university of applied sciences focused on economics, environment and agriculture. Its location at the foot of the Swabian Alb, with the Neckar valley opening toward Stuttgart, has long made it a natural regional centre.
A Nürtingen map poster reads as a clear portrait of a river town. The Neckar makes a strong curve across the paper, bridges stitch the banks together, and the old centre forms a dense cluster above. It suits students, longtime residents and anyone who knows the view from the river up to the church tower.

Hillside old town
Above the river, the historic streets cluster around the town church. They climb the slope in a compact, irregular pattern with plenty of character.
Valley and heights
Newer neighbourhoods follow the valley and spread onto the surrounding hills. The result is a layered outline shaped by the terrain.
