Old Croton Aqueduct
The nineteenth-century aqueduct route runs through Ossining as a steady line that ignores the curving streets around it. Over the Sing Sing Kill it is carried on a double arch.

Ossining Map Poster & Print
Ossining rises from the east bank of the Hudson River in Westchester County, about thirty miles north of Manhattan. Its streets do not form a grid. They curve along ridges and dip into the ravine of the Sing Sing Kill, so the map looks loose and organic, with the broad band of the river filling its whole western edge.
Along the waterfront the Metro-North Hudson Line runs close to the shore, and beside it stands Sing Sing Correctional Facility. The village itself was called Sing Sing until it changed its name in 1901. The Old Croton Aqueduct, now a walking trail, runs north to south through the centre and crosses the Sing Sing Kill on a well-known double arch.
To the north Croton Point reaches into the river, and to the south the Hudson widens into the Tappan Zee. An Ossining map poster sets these pieces in one frame: river, railway, the line of the aqueduct and the winding residential streets between them. It makes a compact portrait of a Hudson Valley town that has always faced the water.

Hudson waterfront
The river takes up the whole western side of the map. The railway and the prison grounds line the shore, sharp against the wide open water.
Sing Sing Kill
A small stream cuts a ravine through the middle of the village. The roads around it bend and bridge, and it gives the centre its uneven, hilly character.

Zakaj Ossining
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Ossining attracts people who commute along the river and people who have lived here for generations, and both know how much the Hudson shapes the town. A map poster brings that view indoors, with the river, the hills and a familiar street all laid out together.
Add your own title, a subtitle marking a move or an anniversary, and a coordinates line, then choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Digital files come in six print sizes up to 24×36″, or order a finished print.
