Lake Irtyash
The lake wraps around the town, and its irregular shoreline of bays and inlets makes the water as prominent as the streets in any framing of Ozersk.

Ozersk Map Poster & Print
Ozersk stands in the Chelyabinsk region on the eastern side of the Urals, on the shore of Lake Irtyash. Its name comes from the Russian word for lake, and water shapes almost every edge of the map. Long shorelines, bays and smaller lakes surround a compact town laid out in orderly Soviet blocks, and forest fills the spaces beyond.
The town was founded in the late 1940s to serve the Mayak nuclear complex. For decades it did not appear on public maps and was known only by code names such as Chelyabinsk-40 and later Chelyabinsk-65. It remains a closed administrative territory today. That history gives a published map of the town unusual weight, because the plain street plan was once kept out of view.
An Ozersk map poster usually works best in a vertical format, where the lake fills large, calm areas of the sheet around the dense core. Digital files cost $9 and include six sizes, from 30×40 cm to 24×36″, each as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF with no watermark, so you can print locally at whatever scale suits the room.

Planned blocks
The centre follows a mid-century Soviet plan of straight avenues, courtyard blocks and regular spacing. It reads cleanly in black and white against the looser shapes of shore and woodland.
Forest belt
Woodland and more lakes surround the built area. On the map they show as open space, which isolates the street grid and emphasises how self-contained the town is.

Zakaj Ozersk
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Many people who grew up in Ozersk have left and cannot easily return, because entry is restricted. A map of the streets they knew, with the lake beside them, is a straightforward way to keep that place on the wall.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a school, a street or a year, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Noir gives the whole sheet a darker, quieter mood that suits the town's enclosed character.
