Railway line
The railway passes along the town as a long, steady line, and much of Pāli's street network is organised in relation to it and to the station.

Pāli Map Poster & Print
Pāli, often called Birsinghpur Pali, is a town in the Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh. On a map, it is a compact settlement with its densest streets near the older bazaar area and the railway, and newer lanes spreading out into the surrounding countryside. The landscape of this part of central India is hilly and wooded, and the map thins out quickly beyond town.
The town is known locally for the Birasini temple, a well-attended site of pilgrimage, and for the thermal power station nearby. Umaria district is also home to Bandhavgarh National Park, which gives the region its wider reputation for forest and wildlife.
A Pāli map poster reduces the town to its essentials: the knot of the old centre, the long line of the railway and the roads leading out to villages. It suits anyone with roots in the area who wants a restrained, precise picture of it.

Old bazaar lanes
Near the centre, narrow and irregular lanes pack tightly together, the densest part of the map and the historic commercial core of the town.
Wooded surroundings
Outside the settlement the map becomes open and quiet, reflecting the hills and forest that characterise this part of Madhya Pradesh.
