Papillion Creek corridors
The creek and its tributaries curve through town inside green buffers, giving the map soft diagonal lines that contrast with the grid of arterial roads.

Papillion Map Poster & Print
Papillion is the county seat of Sarpy County, just south-west of Omaha. Its name comes from the French word for butterfly, carried over from Papillion Creek, which winds through the area. From above, the town shows two layers. A small, older grid sits near the historic centre, and around it spread wide suburban neighbourhoods of looping streets and cul-de-sacs, all set within the square-mile section roads of the Great Plains.
Water shapes much of the map. The branches of the Papillion Creek system run through the town in green corridors, and reservoirs created for flood control, such as Walnut Creek Lake, add clean blue-grey shapes among the housing. Trails follow the creeks, so parks and pathways link one side of town to the other in long, flowing lines that break up the geometry of the streets.
A Papillion map poster turns this suburban pattern into something unexpectedly graphic. The looping residential streets look almost like fingerprints, the straight arterial roads frame them into large squares, and the creek corridors cut diagonally across it all. It suits anyone who knows the town from school runs, Friday games and evening walks along the water.

Walnut Creek Lake
This reservoir on the edge of town forms a distinct shape of open water surrounded by parkland and trails, one of the clearest landmarks on the map.
Suburban loops
Curving streets and cul-de-sacs fill the square-mile blocks between the section roads, creating a dense, organic texture that prints beautifully at large sizes.

Zakaj Papillion
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Papillion is a place where families settle, raise children and put down roots, and many people hang its map to mark that. It works well as a housewarming gift, a first-home keepsake or a reminder of home for someone who has moved away from Nebraska.
Change the title and subtitle to show a street name, a family name or a move-in date, and edit the coordinates to mark the exact spot. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, as a $9 download or a printed poster.
