Boqueirão reservoir
Held back by a dam across a gap in the hills, the reservoir reaches out in irregular arms. It is the dominant form on the map and the town's main source of water.

Parelhas Map Poster & Print
Parelhas lies in the Seridó, the semi-arid interior of Rio Grande do Norte near the border with Paraíba. The land around it is caatinga scrub and rocky outcrops, and on the map that dryness shows as open space crossed by winding tracks. The town itself forms a compact grid with a clear centre, the kind of layout shared by many older market towns in the Brazilian northeast.
Water is the key to the place. The Boqueirão reservoir, made by damming a narrow gap in the hills, spreads its branching arms close to town and forms the largest shape on the map. In a region that depends on stored rainwater, this body of water matters a great deal, and on paper it becomes a bold dark or light field depending on the style.
A Parelhas map poster suits anyone from the Seridó, a region whose people stay strongly attached to home. The area is part of the Seridó UNESCO Global Geopark, known for its rock formations and archaeological sites. The rugged ground around town gives the edges of the print texture instead of empty margins.

Town grid
The centre is laid out in regular blocks around its main square and church. This tidy, compact pattern stands out sharply against the open country around it.
Rocky uplands
Beyond the built-up area, rough terrain and scattered tracks take over. This is the geological landscape that brought the region into the Seridó geopark.

Zakaj Parelhas
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Parelhas is the sort of place people carry with them after moving to Natal, Recife or São Paulo. A map of the town, with the reservoir beside it, catches the look of home without needing a photograph, and it suits a living room or a first apartment.
Put your own title and subtitle on it, or use the coordinates line for a birth year or family name. Sand and Paper match the warm tones of the sertão, while Noir makes the reservoir the darkest shape on the page. The $9 HD files come as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF.
