Pacific Avenue
The main road runs straight through Parkland from north to south. Most of the commercial frontage lines this one corridor, which gives the map a strong vertical axis.

Parkland Map Poster & Print
Parkland is an unincorporated community in Pierce County, Washington, just south of Tacoma. On a map it reads as a spread of residential streets. Some areas keep an older rectangular pattern, while others have the curving loops and cul-de-sacs of later housing. Pacific Avenue runs north to south through the middle and acts as the main commercial spine.
The clearest landmark is Pacific Lutheran University. Its campus is a distinct area of buildings, lawns and trees, with a different, more open texture than the housing around it. Stands of conifers and small open spaces appear throughout the area, which fits the name. Military land and larger open ground lie further south.
A Parkland map poster records the kind of place many people actually live in: a quiet suburb shaped by one main road and one institution. The contrast between the long straight avenue, the campus and the mix of grid and loop streets makes a composition that is more varied than you might expect.

University campus
Pacific Lutheran University forms a clear block of buildings and green space. Its open layout stands out against the denser residential streets that surround it.
Mixed street patterns
Older rectangular blocks sit next to newer curving streets and dead ends, so the map shows how the suburb grew in several separate phases.

Zakaj Parkland
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
PLU graduates, military families who were stationed nearby, and people who grew up in the South Sound often want a map of this place. A campus or a first home is a good reason to put a small community on the wall.
You can add a personal title and subtitle, such as a graduation year or a move-in date, and edit the coordinates line. Then choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
