Moated fort
The fort's square outline and surrounding moat form a sharp geometric figure at the centre of the town. It is the clearest landmark on the poster.

Parola Map Poster & Print
Parola lies in the Jalgaon district of northern Maharashtra, in the farming country of the Khandesh region. Its best-known feature is the fort at the heart of the town. This is a squarish stronghold surrounded by a moat, and it remains legible on the map as a compact geometric shape among the surrounding lanes.
The fort dates from the eighteenth century and is traditionally associated with the family of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi. The old town packs closely around it in narrow, winding streets. Newer areas extend along the main roads leading out towards neighbouring towns and the cotton and grain fields of Khandesh.
A Parola map poster brings out that layered structure: a fortified core, an old town wrapped around it, and later growth along the approaches. The squared outline of the fort gives the drawing an anchor that most small towns lack. The rural roads beyond let the composition breathe out towards the edges.

Old town lanes
Narrow, irregular streets cluster closely around the fort. They create the densest and most intricate part of the drawing.
Khandesh farmland
Beyond the town, straight rural roads and field boundaries cross open agricultural land. They frame the historic core with a lighter texture.
