Pindoretama is a municipality in Ceará, in northeastern Brazil, and part of the Fortaleza metropolitan area. It lies east of the capital, inland from the coast of Aquiraz and Cascavel, on the flat sandy tablelands known locally as tabuleiros. On a map the town is a modest cluster of streets strung along its main road, with smaller settlements scattered in the surrounding countryside.
The land around it is open and gently rolling, with farmland, cashew orchards and patches of scrub. Small lagoons and streams appear here and there, and sandy tracks link scattered houses and farms.
