Looping subdivisions
Inside the larger blocks, residential streets curl into loops, crescents and dead ends. This pattern is typical of mid-century Florida suburbs and turns into fine, maze-like detail at poster scale.

Pine Hills Map Poster & Print
Pine Hills sits just west of downtown Orlando in Orange County. It is an unincorporated community rather than a city with its own government. On a map it looks like a classic postwar Florida suburb. Long straight arterials mark out large blocks, and inside them residential streets loop, curve and end in cul-de-sacs that fold around one another. The pattern is dense but gentle, with few hard edges.
Water breaks up the drawing. Central Florida is dotted with small lakes and retention ponds, and around Pine Hills they show as smooth white ovals that the streets bend around. The land is flat, so no curve on the map comes from the terrain. Every one of them was a planner's choice, and in fine black lines the result has a soft regularity that looks almost like woven fabric.
A Pine Hills map poster works well at large sizes, where the tiny loops of each subdivision stay readable next to the main roads that tie them to Orlando. It suits people who grew up here, families who bought their first house on one of these curving streets, or anyone who wants a quiet record of a neighbourhood that rarely appears on souvenir shelves.

Scattered small lakes
Small lakes and ponds dot the area and show as clean white shapes on the map. They give the otherwise even street pattern natural breaks and points for the eye to rest.
Edge of Orlando
Pine Hills lies west of downtown Orlando and connects to the wider metro area through long arterial roads, so a wider frame shows how the suburb fits into the city beyond.

Zakaj Pine Hills
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
People hang a map of Pine Hills because it is home in a very specific way: the street where they learned to ride a bike, the lake they drove past every day. The poster shows that geography exactly and without clutter, leaving out the tourist landmarks that usually decide what gets printed.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a family name or the year you moved in. Then choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster, framed if you like.
