Ponteareas Map Poster & Print
Ponteareas lies in the province of Pontevedra in southern Galicia, in the Condado area near the Portuguese border and inland from Vigo. The town grew beside the river Tea, and the map shows the water running along its edge with the centre rising above it. Beyond the core, streets thin out into scattered parishes and the green farmland typical of rural Galicia.
Ponteareas is best known for its Corpus Christi celebrations, when residents cover the streets with intricate carpets made of flowers, a tradition recognised as a festival of international tourist interest. The river Tea is valued for its natural banks and riverside paths, and bridges have long been part of the town's identity, as its name suggests.
A Ponteareas map poster combines a compact urban centre with the loose, branching pattern of the Galician countryside. The curve of the Tea, the streets used for the flower carpets and the roads fanning out to surrounding parishes make a design that is both detailed and airy, well suited to a living room or study.

Flower carpet streets
The central streets that host the Corpus Christi flower carpets form a compact cluster, the heart of the town each year during the celebrations.
Scattered parishes
Around the centre, small roads link hamlets and farms spread across the hills, a dispersed settlement pattern that is characteristic of the Galician countryside.
