Four hills
College, Military, Pioneer and Sunnyside hills each carry their own neighbourhood, so the street grid shifts angle and density as it climbs away from the valley.

Pullman Map Poster & Print
Pullman sits in south-eastern Washington, in the Palouse, a region of smooth, wind-built hills covered in wheat fields. The town grew where several creeks join the South Fork of the Palouse River. Its streets climb out of that valley onto the surrounding hills, known locally as College, Military, Pioneer and Sunnyside. On a map, the grid bends and breaks wherever the slopes steepen.
Pullman is home to Washington State University. The campus takes up a large share of the town's east side and shapes its rhythm through the academic year. The city of Moscow, Idaho, and its own university lie only a few miles east across the state line, which makes this a rare pairing of neighbouring college towns.
A Pullman map poster makes the most of this terrain. The downtown grid by the river, the curving streets on the hills, the large open blocks of the campus and the straight highways leaving across farmland all read clearly in black and white. It is a natural piece for graduates and anyone who spent a few formative years here.

WSU campus
The Washington State University campus fills much of the east side with larger buildings, playing fields and looping drives that stand apart from the residential grid.
Palouse River valley
Downtown sits low along the South Fork of the Palouse River and its creeks. The roads converge there before heading out across the wheat hills.

Zakaj Pullman
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Pullman is often a four-year chapter in someone's life, and a map of it holds more than a campus photo can. It shows the walk up the hill, the house on a quiet street and the road out to Moscow. Many people add a graduation year.
