Quedas do Iguaçu Map Poster & Print
Quedas do Iguaçu is a municipality in the west-central part of Paraná, in southern Brazil. The town itself is compact, a regular grid of streets on a gentle rise, surrounded by a patchwork of fields, forest remnants and rural roads. The land is typical of the Paraná interior: rolling, green and crossed by small rivers.
The name refers to the Iguaçu River, which runs through the region well upstream of the famous falls on the Argentine border. Along this stretch the river has been dammed for hydroelectric power, so on the map it appears as wide, branching reservoirs rather than a narrow channel. Farming and forestry are important to the local economy.
A Quedas do Iguaçu map poster brings together two very different forms. The town centre is orderly and rectilinear, while the water around it spreads into irregular arms and inlets. Between them, country roads trace long, curving lines through the farmland.

Iguaçu reservoirs
Dams on the Iguaçu River have created broad reservoirs in the region, whose fingers of water give the map its most irregular and striking shapes.
Rural road network
Unpaved and minor roads wind outward through fields and forest, connecting farms and small settlements in long, looping lines.

Zakaj Quedas do Iguaçu
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Quedas do Iguaçu is a town people are proud to come from, and many who moved to larger cities still feel tied to it. A map is an understated way to keep that connection visible at home.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a family name or a significant year, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint gives the reservoirs a crisp outline.
