Rapid City Map Poster & Print
Rapid City sits where the Black Hills meet the plains of western South Dakota. From above, a forested ridge runs through the city and divides it into two parts. The Gap is the passage through the ridge. Rapid Creek winds west to east, lined by a long greenway of parks and bike paths.
Downtown is a neat grid of blocks. Life-size bronze statues of US presidents stand on its street corners as part of the City of Presidents project. Dinosaur Park sits on a hill above the city with its concrete sculptures from the 1930s. Mount Rushmore is a short drive to the southwest.
A Rapid City map poster captures the way the city's grid meets the curves of the hills. Suburban streets wrap around slopes, the creek draws a green thread through town, and the empty, wooded west hints at the Black Hills beyond.

Skyline ridge
A wooded ridge runs through the middle of the city. Roads pass through the Gap, and on the poster the ridge appears as a quiet, open strip.
Downtown grid
The historic centre is laid out in regular blocks near the creek. It is home to the City of Presidents statues on its street corners.
