The peninsula outline
Ras Tanura's thin, elongated shape, with gulf water on either side, gives the map a strong silhouette that reads clearly even at small print sizes.

Ras Tanura Map Poster & Print
Ras Tanura occupies a long, thin spit of land that extends north into the Persian Gulf from the coast of Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province. From above, the shape is unmistakable: a finger of sand with water on both sides, the shoreline broken by piers and jetties, and a single main corridor running along its length to the end of the peninsula.
The town is one of the key sites of the Saudi oil industry. Saudi Aramco operates a large refinery here along with one of the world's biggest crude oil export terminals, and the industrial layout of storage tanks and loading berths takes up much of the peninsula. Near the tip, a planned residential community with curving streets and green spaces offers a very different pattern.
A Ras Tanura map poster shows how land, water and industry fit together in a very small space. The narrow outline, the long piers pointing out into the gulf and the contrast between the industrial zone and the residential quarter make a composition that is both graphic and specific to this stretch of coast.

Export piers
Long jetties and loading berths extend from the shore into deeper water, drawn as sharp straight lines that stand out against the open sea around the peninsula.
Residential tip
Toward the end of the spit, a planned community with curving streets and landscaped areas contrasts with the rigid geometry of the tank farms and refinery further south.
