Protected watershed
Much of the land lies within a water protection area, so forest and open ground dominate the map. The neighbourhoods appear as islands among the green.

Ribeirão Pires Map Poster & Print
Ribeirão Pires lies at the southeastern edge of Greater São Paulo, in the ABC region, on the plateau above the Serra do Mar. Unlike most of the metropolitan area, it is not a solid carpet of streets. From above, the town appears as a set of neighbourhoods scattered among forested hills, with large areas of green left between them.
Much of the municipality lies within a protected watershed that supplies the Billings reservoir system. This limits dense building and keeps the landscape unusually open. Arms of water and wetland reach into the valleys, and a railway runs through the centre along the valley floor, heading toward Santo André and the city beyond.
Ribeirão Pires is officially designated a tourist resort town in São Paulo state, known for its green setting and weekend visitors from the capital. A Ribeirão Pires map poster reflects that character, with winding streets, a strong railway line and wide empty spaces of forest and water that give the drawing an airy feel.

Railway valley
A commuter rail line follows the valley through the town centre. This steady line links Ribeirão Pires to Santo André and São Paulo.
Reservoir arms
Inlets of the reservoir system reach into the valleys, adding soft, irregular water shapes that contrast with the fine lines of the streets.
