The Cauto River
Cuba's longest river passes close to the town. Its slow, looping course across the plain gives the map a strong curving line that anchors the whole composition.

Río Cauto Map Poster & Print
Río Cauto takes its name from the river beside it, the Cauto, which is the longest river in Cuba. The town lies in the north of Granma Province, where the land is low and open and the river winds slowly toward the Gulf of Guacanayabo. From above, the settlement is a compact block of streets set against a very wide, flat landscape.
Much of the surrounding country is farmed, including for rice, and wetlands line the lower course of the river. On the map this shows as long field divisions, drainage channels and meanders rather than dense urban fabric. The town itself has a simple, regular layout like many Cuban towns, with a small centre and quiet residential blocks.
A Río Cauto map poster is a portrait of a place defined by water and flat ground. The river's loops give the composition its main line, and the town sits beside it as a small, tidy cluster. It is a gentle, uncluttered print, well suited to anyone with family roots in eastern Cuba.

Compact street plan
The town is small and regular, a tight group of blocks that reads clearly at poster scale and is recognisable without much detail.
Open lowland
Fields, channels and wetland edges stretch around the town in every direction, a spacious pattern that leaves plenty of calm white space in the print.
