River valley
The town follows a winding river through its valley. The curving water line gives the map its main structure and explains the shape of the centre.

Rio Largo Map Poster & Print
Rio Largo lies just inland from Maceió, in the state of Alagoas in northeastern Brazil. The town grew in a river valley surrounded by the rolling sugarcane country typical of this part of the coast. On the map, the town follows the valley floor. Neighbourhoods climb the slopes on either side, and roads run out toward the state capital.
Many travellers know the name because Zumbi dos Palmares International Airport, which serves Maceió, sits within the municipality. On the map, its runway is a long, straight mark that contrasts with the curves of the river and the irregular streets of the older town. Railway lines and highways add more linear strokes.
A Rio Largo map poster shows a town shaped by water and terrain more than by planning. The river winds through the centre, streets bend along the hills, and fields spread out beyond the edges. For people from the town or from wider Alagoas, it is a recognisable, personal image.

Airport runway
The regional airport lies within the municipality. Its long, straight runway is a strong geometric feature among the softer shapes of the landscape.
Hillside neighbourhoods
Streets climb the slopes on either side of the valley. They form irregular, layered patterns that add depth to the composition.
