Roatán Map Poster & Print
Roatán is the largest of the Bay Islands of Honduras, lying off the country's northern coast in the Caribbean. It is long and thin, stretching roughly east to west, with a hilly spine running down its length. Along its coast, small bays and coves cut into the shoreline, and a fringing reef sits just offshore. The reef is part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef system.
The island's settlements are spread along both coasts. West End and West Bay, at the western tip, are known for beaches and diving. Coxen Hole, on the south shore, is home to the main harbour and the airport, while French Harbour lies further east. A main road runs along the island's spine and connects these places.
A Roatán map poster works best in a wide format that follows the island's long axis. It shows a central road with branches running down to small coastal towns, and a shoreline notched with bays. Across much of the eastern half, the lines grow sparse. The reef may not appear as streets do, but its presence shapes where every settlement sits.

The spine road
A main road runs along the island's central ridge, with side roads dropping down to the coasts. On the map it looks like a long backbone with ribs.
Notched coastline
Roatán's shore is cut by many small bays and harbours, especially on the south side. These notches give the narrow island a detailed, irregular edge.
