Rodgau Map Poster & Print
Rodgau was formed in the 1970s by merging several villages in the Offenbach district, and the map still shows it. Instead of one centre, there is a chain of separate cores, each with its own church lanes and small squares, joined by newer housing and a railway that runs the length of the town.
The small Rodau stream, which gave the town its name, runs through the area. Large stretches of forest surround the settlements, typical of the Rhine-Main lowlands. Old gravel pits have become lakes, and the largest is a popular swimming spot on summer weekends.
A Rodgau map poster shows a pattern that is common in Hesse but rarely framed: distinct village hearts, residential streets filling the gaps between them, and dark bands of woodland pressing in from both sides. It reads as several communities that have grown into one.

S-Bahn spine
A commuter rail line runs through Rodgau toward Frankfurt and Offenbach, a straight line that ties the districts together across the map.
Quarry lakes and forest
Flooded gravel pits form smooth-edged lakes at the town's margins, set inside wide forest areas that frame the built-up land.
