Zemljevid
Rustāq Map Poster & Print
Rustāq lies in Takhar province in northern Afghanistan, in the hill country south of the Amu Darya and the Tajik border. The surrounding landscape is made of rolling loess hills, cut by valleys where water allows fields and orchards. On a map the town appears as a concentrated cluster of streets in the lower ground, with roads threading out between the hills.
As a district centre, Rustāq serves a wide rural area, and its market streets form the densest part of the plan. Beyond them the pattern loosens into compounds, gardens and irrigated plots. The roads leading away from town follow valleys and gentler slopes, so their curves describe the terrain around it.
A Rustāq map poster shows a place defined by its setting: a compact centre, valley routes and wide open ground on every side. The drawing is sparse rather than crowded, which suits the black-and-white style. For anyone from the region, the lines of the roads out of town carry a clear sense of direction and of home.

Valley roads
Routes into and out of Rustāq follow the lower ground between hills, bending with the landscape rather than cutting straight across it.
Surrounding hills
Large, lightly marked areas around the town reflect the open loess hills that frame it, giving the poster wide areas of calm space.
