Irrigation canals
Long channels run across the plain around the town. Their straight and gently bending lines divide the farmland and are the clearest large-scale features on the map.

Sanghar Map Poster & Print
Sanghar is the headquarters of the district of the same name in Sindh. It lies on the flat alluvial plain east of the Indus, where irrigation has turned dry land into fields. From above, the town is a dense, irregular cluster of lanes around a few main roads. Beyond it, the map becomes an even pattern of field boundaries and water channels that runs toward the horizon.
The district reaches east into the sandy country on the edge of the Thar, so the setting shifts from green, canal-fed plots to dunes over a fairly short distance. Near the town, the most readable lines on the map are roads and the straight or gently curving courses of irrigation canals. They give the plain a geometry that the older, tightly packed centre does not have.
A Sanghar map poster works best at a scale that shows the town and some of the countryside around it. The contrast is the point: a knot of short streets in the middle, and long canal lines and road axes reaching out from it. Printed in fine ink on a pale ground, the scene is quiet and strongly graphic.

Dense town core
At the centre, short lanes are packed closely around the main roads, making a dark, textured patch that stands out against the open fields.
Road axes
Several roads leave the town in different directions and cross the flat countryside, linking Sanghar with neighbouring towns in lower Sindh.

Zakaj Sanghar
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
A map of Sanghar is a personal object. It is rarely bought by chance, and usually goes to someone with family roots there or a posting in the district. The simple layout of town, canals and fields reads well on the wall and does not need explaining to anyone who knows the place.
Put your own words in the title and subtitle, perhaps a name or a date, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. You can download the HD files at 300 DPI, or order a printed poster on matte paper, with or without a wooden frame.
