Several village cores
The municipality combines former villages, and each keeps its own older street centre. The map has several focal points instead of a single downtown.

Schwalbach Map Poster & Print
Schwalbach is a municipality in the Saarlouis district of western Saarland, made up of several villages that have grown toward one another over time. The map shows this history clearly. There is no single centre. Instead there are several small cores, each with its own older main street, linked by roads that follow the valleys and wooded ridges of the Saarland hills.
Like much of the Saarland, the area's working life was long tied to coal and steel in the nearby Saar valley. Twentieth-century housing now covers many of the slopes between the older village streets. Forest still covers much of the higher ground, and on a print these woods become broad, calm areas that separate the neighbourhoods and give the composition a clear rhythm.
A Schwalbach map poster suits residents, families with roots here and anyone who knows the landscape between Saarlouis and the Saar valley. It shows a typical Saarland community: villages joined by roads and framed by woods, quite different from the tidy grid of a planned town.

Valley roads
Main roads run along valleys and around hillsides. They link the districts in gentle curves that follow the rolling Saarland terrain.
Wooded ridges
Forest on the higher ground separates the built-up areas. On the poster it forms wide, open shapes that balance the fine lines of the residential streets.

Zakaj Schwalbach
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
In the Saarland, people often identify with their village as much as with the municipality, and this map can reflect that. Use the title for Schwalbach and the subtitle for Elm or Hülzweiler, or put a wedding date in the coordinates line.
The poster comes in Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Buy the $9 digital set, with six sizes as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame from a partner in over 30 countries.
