Outer fjords
Fjords such as Bergsfjorden, Mefjorden and Øyfjorden cut deep into the northwestern coast and give the map its most intricate, finger-like shapes.

Senja Map Poster & Print
Senja lies off the coast of Troms in northern Norway and is the country's second-largest island outside Svalbard. Seen from above, it has two characters. The side facing the open sea is torn into fjords and peninsulas, with steep peaks rising straight from the water. The side facing the mainland is gentler, with farmland, forest and a long sheltered sound.
Fishing villages such as Husøy, Mefjordvær and Gryllefjord hold onto the outer coast, often on narrow shelves of land at the mouths of fjords. A National Tourist Route follows part of this coast, linking viewpoints below mountains such as Segla. On the inland side, the Gisund Bridge connects the island to the town of Finnsnes on the mainland.
A Senja map poster works best as a study in contrast. The fjords on the outer side create dense, intricate edges, while the inner side lies calm and open. At larger sizes, the thin roads that thread along the shore and the lakes scattered inland become visible, adding a fine layer of detail to an already dramatic outline.

Gisund Bridge
A single bridge across the Gisundet strait ties Senja to Finnsnes. On the map it appears as a short, clean line across calm water on the island's eastern side.
Ånderdalen National Park
In the south of the island, this protected area of pine and birch forest, lakes and mountains fills the interior with open space, a quieter counterpoint to the busy coastline.

Zakaj Senja
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Senja draws hikers, photographers and people chasing the northern lights, and many come away wanting something that shows the whole island at once. A map does that honestly, marking where the road ran out and the mountains began. It suits a hallway, a cabin or any wall that could use a sharper edge.
Personalise the title, put the date of a trip or a favourite peak in the subtitle, and edit the coordinates line if you like. Noir and Blueprint bring out the fjords especially well, and Classic, Paper and Sand are also available. Printed posters on matte paper ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
