Shahr Sultan Map Poster & Print
Shahr Sultan lies in the south of Pakistan's Punjab, in the low, flat country near the point where the rivers of the province gather before joining the Indus. The land is irrigated alluvial plain, and from above it is marked by canals, field strips and the lines of villages strung along the water.
The town itself forms a dense core of narrow streets and closely packed buildings, the pattern of an old market settlement. From there roads run out across the plain, and the canals add long, gently curving lines that cut across the regular geometry of the fields.
A Shahr Sultan map poster reflects how closely life here is tied to water and land. The busy centre gathers in the middle of the frame, with the patient order of irrigated farmland reaching out toward the river country around it.
