The Syr Darya
The river passes near the town on its way toward the Aral Sea. Its winding course and side channels bring natural curves into an otherwise straight-lined map.

Shiyeli Map Poster & Print
Shiyeli lies in Kazakhstan's Kyzylorda Region, along the middle course of the Syr Darya. From above, the town looks orderly: long parallel streets divided into rectangular blocks, laid out beside the railway that follows the river valley through this part of the country. The line crosses the map as one unbroken stroke.
Around the town, the land splits into two very different textures. Near the river, irrigation channels and field boundaries make a fine mesh of lines, since this stretch of the Syr Darya has long been farmed, with rice among its crops. Farther out, the steppe is almost empty, and on the map it reads as wide, quiet space.
A Shiyeli map poster captures that meeting of river, rail and open steppe in a single, simple composition. The regular town plan sits against the curves of the river and its channels. It is a strong choice for people from the district and for anyone who has travelled this long line across southern Kazakhstan.

Railway corridor
A main rail line runs along the river valley past Shiyeli. It crosses the poster as a long, straight line that sets the direction of the town's streets.
Irrigated field mesh
Canals and field boundaries near the river form a dense geometric pattern. It contrasts sharply with the open, featureless steppe that stretches away from the valley.
