Contour-led streets
Roads in and around Shuanglong curve to follow the slopes instead of cutting across them, which gives the street pattern a soft, irregular outline typical of hill towns in Chongqing.

Shuanglong Map Poster & Print
Shuanglong is a town in Chongqing, the mountainous municipality on the upper Yangtze. From above it doesn't spread in any single direction. Its streets follow the contours of the land, collecting in the lower ground and thinning out wherever the slopes turn steep, so the built area looks gathered rather than laid out.
This is typical of the Chongqing countryside, where rolling hills are cut into small valleys and roads have to choose the easiest line between them. On the map that produces loops, switchbacks and short connectors, surrounded by the fine texture of fields, ponds and scattered hamlets. There are few straight lines, and they stand out wherever they appear.
A Shuanglong map poster keeps that texture and leaves out the rest. With colour and labels stripped away, what remains is the relationship between a small town and the hills around it, the way the road network responds to the terrain. It's a quiet subject, and it works best at a scale where the surrounding countryside is still visible.

Rural fringe
Past the town centre the network breaks into lanes, field paths and small settlements. In black and white this reads as a fine stipple around the denser core.
Valley setting
The town sits in the folded hill country of the Chongqing municipality, where lower ground attracts building and the ridges stay mostly open.

Zakaj Shuanglong
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
For people from Shuanglong, or with family there, the poster is a precise record of a place that rarely appears on a wall. It shows the town as it is, not as a postcard, and that tends to feel personal.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or the year someone left, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
