Water tanks
Large irrigation tanks sit around the town as smooth, pale shapes. Among the fine street lines they are the most distinct forms on the sheet and give the composition its weight.

Sidlaghatta Map Poster & Print
Sidlaghatta sits on the dry, rolling plateau of southern Karnataka, north-east of Bengaluru. From above, the town is a tight knot of lanes with no single grid. Roads run out of it in every direction toward surrounding villages, and the flat pale shapes of irrigation tanks, the reservoirs that shape so much of this landscape, lie between the built-up areas.
The town is best known for silk. Sidlaghatta has long been one of the region's main centres for silk cocoons and reeling, and that trade shaped how it grew: dense workshops and houses near the centre, with farmland and mulberry fields spreading out beyond. A map shows this clearly, as a busy middle that thins into scattered settlements and field boundaries.
A Sidlaghatta map poster keeps all of this in plain black and white. The dense old core, the roads heading out to the villages and the smooth outlines of the water tanks are easy to read without colour. The result is a quiet, balanced image of a working town, recognisable to anyone who knows its streets and still interesting to someone seeing it for the first time.

Dense town core
The centre is a close weave of short, irregular lanes that grew over time rather than to a plan. At poster scale it reads as a dark, finely textured patch.
Radiating country roads
Roads leave the town toward neighbouring villages and towns, forming a loose star that ties the compact centre to the wider plateau around it.
