Irrigation canals
Canals and smaller channels run through and around the town. They draw fine, branching lines on the map that show how water shapes life in the Faiyum.

Sinnūris Map Poster & Print
Sinnūris lies in the Faiyum depression, a fertile basin west of the Nile. Water carried in by canals has supported farming here since antiquity. The map shows the town surrounded by a dense pattern of fields, divided by irrigation channels and farm roads that spread out in every direction.
The town itself is compact, with a tight core of streets and small blocks. Main roads lead toward Faiyum city to the south and toward other villages of the basin. Canals pass close to the built-up area and give the streets a direction.
North of the town lies Lake Qarun, the large salt lake at the lowest point of the Faiyum. A Sinnūris map poster captures the agricultural character of the oasis, a town in the middle of intensively worked green land at the edge of the desert.

Compact core
The central streets form a dense cluster of small blocks and narrow lanes. It is the darkest part of the poster, set against the lighter pattern of fields.
Field patterns
Around the town, agricultural plots form a regular mosaic of small parcels. It gives the composition a detailed, textile-like texture at its edges.
