Siwana Fort
The hill fort above the town is its best-known landmark, besieged by Alauddin Khalji in 1308. On the map its hill forms a clear edge to the built-up area.

Siwāna Map Poster & Print
Siwāna lies in western Rajasthan, in the dry country of the Marwar region, where rocky hills rise abruptly out of sandy plains. The town sits beside a cluster of granite hills that geologists know as the Siwana ring complex, a roughly circular formation of ancient igneous rock that stands out clearly in satellite images of the area.
On one of these hills stands Siwana Fort, an old stronghold held over the centuries by several Rajput dynasties. It is remembered for the siege of 1308, when the forces of Alauddin Khalji took the fort after a long resistance. Below it, the town spreads across the flatter ground in a close pattern of lanes and houses.
A Siwāna map poster works with this contrast between rock and settlement. The dense core of streets sits in a tight knot, roads run out across the open plain, and the rugged hill country leaves broad empty areas in the composition. The overall effect is spare and grounded, much like the landscape of the desert fringe itself.

Granite ring complex
The hills around Siwāna belong to a ring-shaped igneous formation, giving the terrain an unusual rounded structure that sets the local landscape apart from the surrounding plain.
Old town lanes
Narrow streets curve and branch through the older part of town, producing a close, irregular pattern that contrasts sharply with the open ground beyond.

Zakaj Siwāna
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Siwāna carries a long local history in a small footprint, from its fort to the families who have lived below it for generations. A map of the town brings that sense of place into a home, whether in Rajasthan, Mumbai or much further away.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a family name or the year of a wedding, and choose among five styles. Sand and Paper suit the warm tones of the Marwar landscape, while Noir gives the hills a darker, more dramatic reading.
