Sojat Map Poster & Print
Sojat, often called Sojat City, lies in Pali district in the Marwar region of Rajasthan, on the dry plains between Jodhpur and the Aravalli hills. The old town is a compact tangle of narrow lanes and closely set houses, and on a map it appears as a dense, irregular core from which roads lead out to villages and neighbouring towns.
Around the town the land opens into fields and scrub, crossed by seasonal watercourses and village tracks. Newer neighbourhoods and market yards have grown along the main roads leading out toward the rest of Pali district, gradually extending the town beyond its historic centre in long, loose ribbons. The contrast between the dense core and these open edges is the defining feature of the map.
Sojat is best known as a centre of henna cultivation and processing, and its mehndi carries a geographical indication that recognises the quality of the leaves grown in the surrounding fields. A Sojat map poster pairs the tight streets of the old town with the open farmland around it, a fitting portrait of a place whose name is known wherever its henna is sold.

Market roads
Main roads leave the centre toward the rest of Pali district, lined with newer buildings and market yards that extend the town outward.
Henna country
Fields around the town, where the henna that made Sojat famous is grown, appear as open, lightly marked land framing the built-up area.

Zakaj Sojat
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Henna is part of weddings and celebrations across South Asia and beyond, and a map of the town where so much of it is grown makes a meaningful gift. It is equally personal for families from Sojat itself.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a wedding date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files cost $9, and printed posters ship on matte paper with an optional wooden frame.
