Sonzacate Map Poster & Print
Sonzacate is one of the smallest municipalities in El Salvador, in the western department of Sonsonate. It lies right next to the city of Sonsonate, and on a map the two run together. Where one ends and the other begins is only a matter of administrative boundaries, since the streets flow directly from one into the other.
The town's own centre is compact, with a small grid and a central square, and residential areas spread outward along the main roads. Beyond them lie farmland and small streams, and to the north the land rises toward the volcanic highlands of western El Salvador.
A Sonzacate map poster frames the town itself but also shows how closely it is tied to its larger neighbour. The dense, connected street pattern takes up most of the frame, with fields and the start of the uplands at its edges.

Compact centre
A small grid around the main square forms the historic core. It stands out as the most regular part of an otherwise organic layout.
Farmland and streams
Cultivated land and small watercourses surround the built-up area. They soften the edges of the map and lead toward the higher ground inland.
