Atibaia River
The river runs through the district in a loose curve, giving the map a strong natural line that the streets follow and cross.

Souzas Map Poster & Print
Souzas, also spelled Sousas, is a district of Campinas that lies east of the city centre along the Atibaia River. From above, the river is the main axis. The district's older streets gather near its banks, and newer residential areas spread up the surrounding hillsides.
The district grew up in the nineteenth century during the coffee era, and it keeps a small historic core around its main square and church. Today many residents of Campinas know it as a quieter, greener neighbourhood with a small-town feel, still close to the city.
A Souzas map poster brings together a curving river line, a dense cluster of older blocks and roads looping through the hills. The drawing is less rigid than central Campinas and more varied than a typical suburb, a balance that works well on the wall.

Historic centre
A compact core of older streets around the main square forms the densest part of the drawing, clearly different from the newer areas around it.
Hillside neighbourhoods
Residential streets wind up the slopes around the valley. They draw curving, contour-like lines that give the map its gently hilly character.
