Stallings Map Poster & Print
Stallings is a town in Union County, North Carolina, on the southeastern edge of the Charlotte metropolitan area. It grew quickly from a rural crossroads into a suburban community, and its map shows that change clearly. Rather than a grid, the streets form a series of neighbourhoods, each with curving roads, loops and cul-de-sacs branching from a few main routes.
US Highway 74 runs through the town, carrying traffic between Charlotte and Monroe, with shops and services along much of its length. The Monroe Expressway, a toll road, begins nearby. Away from these roads, residential areas are interspersed with woodland, creeks and parks, which gives the town a more open feel than its closeness to the city might suggest.
A Stallings map poster turns the suburban street pattern into an intricate, almost organic drawing. Looping residential streets create dense clusters of detail, while the highways cross the frame as bold, direct lines. It is a surprisingly graphic subject, and it means a great deal to anyone who has settled here and knows their own cul-de-sac by heart.
