Stockelsdorf Map Poster & Print
Stockelsdorf lies in Schleswig-Holstein, directly adjoining the city of Lübeck to the northwest. The map shows a place in transition between city and countryside. Suburban streets and residential districts sit close to the Lübeck boundary. Further out, several smaller villages lie among the open fields, hedgerows and patches of woodland typical of eastern Holstein.
The town has a notable place in German decorative arts. In the eighteenth century, the Stockelsdorf faience manufactory produced glazed earthenware that is now held in museum collections. The manor house, the Herrenhaus Stockelsdorf, dates from the same era of the estate's history. It remains one of the town's most notable buildings.
From above, main roads radiate out from Lübeck through Stockelsdorf toward the northwest, and residential areas grow along them in tidy blocks of detached houses. A Stockelsdorf map poster captures this close relationship with the Hanseatic city next door. It also shows the calm, open landscape of Holstein beyond the town's edge.

Holstein countryside
Beyond the residential areas, the land opens into fields, hedgerows and woodland. Smaller villages form quiet clusters of streets across the landscape.
