Wadhwan old town
The historic core is a tight pattern of narrow lanes, one of the most intricate textures on the map and a reminder of the town's princely past.

Surendranagar Map Poster & Print
Surendranagar lies in the north-east of Saurashtra in Gujarat, forming a joint urban area with the older town of Wadhwan. On a map the two read as one continuous settlement on flat, dry land, with the Bhogavo river running along their edge. The dense streets of Wadhwan's historic core contrast with the more regular layout of later neighbourhoods.
Rail lines and highways converge here, making the town an important junction between Ahmedabad and the interior of Saurashtra. Roads leave in long, straight lines across fields of cotton, a crop the district is well known for.
North-west of the district lies the Little Rann of Kutch, a vast salt flat that is home to the Indian wild ass sanctuary. A Surendranagar map poster shows the clear, open geometry of a plains town, with the old princely quarter and the newer grid side by side, and the river and railway giving the composition its main lines.
