Swedru Map Poster & Print
Swedru, also known as Agona Swedru, is the capital of the Agona area in Ghana's Central Region, inland from the coast between Accra and Cape Coast. From above, it is a compact town with a dense commercial centre where the main roads meet. Residential neighbourhoods spread out on every side, and the edges merge into farmland and green, gently rolling land.
The town has long served as a trading centre for the surrounding farming communities, and the market district is still its heart. Streets in the older parts are tight and irregular, and those in newer areas are more spread out along roads leading to neighbouring towns. Swedru is also the traditional centre of the Agona people.
A Swedru map poster shows the town's structure clearly. The busy centre where roads converge, the looser pattern of neighbourhoods and the routes leading out toward the coast and inland all appear. In black and white, the density of the market area stands out against the open land beyond, and the town's role as a hub is plain to see.

Converging roads
Several roads meet in town and connect it to the coast and to neighbouring inland towns. On the poster, they appear as clear lines radiating from the centre.
Green outskirts
Beyond the neighbourhoods, the town opens into farmland and vegetation. This gives the map soft, open borders around the denser core.
