Swift Current Creek
The creek meanders through the city in wide curves, following a green corridor. It is the only strongly irregular line in an otherwise rectangular layout.

Swift Current Map Poster & Print
Swift Current is the main city of southwest Saskatchewan, set in open, almost treeless prairie. The railway shaped its layout. Downtown streets line up with the tracks, and residential grids spread out from there in tidy rectangles. The Trans-Canada Highway runs along the northern side of the city and carries traffic between Regina and Medicine Hat.
Swift Current Creek, the stream that gave the city its name, winds through the grid in loose meanders, and a green corridor follows its banks. The contrast is what makes the map worth looking at: straight surveyed streets on one hand and a meandering creek on the other, with open farmland reaching to every edge.
The city's long-running Frontier Days rodeo and exhibition reflect its ranching and farming background. A Swift Current map poster shows a town that grew where the railway met a reliable supply of water, with the surveyor's grid and the natural stream sharing the same frame.

Railway grid
The downtown streets are aligned with the rail line that brought settlement here. The blocks sit at a clear angle that sets them apart from the surrounding section roads.
Trans-Canada Highway
Highway 1 skirts the northern edge of the city. On the map it forms a long, confident line that runs across the prairie in both directions.

Zakaj Swift Current
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Prairie towns stay with people, whether through a childhood on the grid, a summer at the rodeo or a long drive on the Trans-Canada. A map of Swift Current gives that open, orderly landscape a place on the wall.
You can change the title and subtitle to anything you like, such as a family name or the year you moved away, and edit the coordinates. Pick one of the five styles and order a matte print from a partner close to you, with an optional wooden frame.
