Dense street mesh
Short lanes and irregular blocks cover almost every part of the map. Printed large, they create a rich, even texture that reads almost like woven fabric.

Talinding Map Poster & Print
Talinding is part of the continuous built-up area that stretches inland from the Gambian coast, close to Serrekunda and within easy reach of Banjul. On a map it has no single centre. Instead, the street network is a dense mesh of short lanes and compound plots, broken now and then by a wider road that carries traffic through the district.
This pattern is typical of the fast-growing towns of the Kombo area, where neighbourhoods have filled in plot by plot over recent decades. From above, the lines are fine and close together. The few open patches, such as sports grounds, school yards or market spaces, stand out clearly against the surrounding texture.
A Talinding map poster is less about landmarks than about grain: the rhythm of streets and compounds that makes one neighbourhood feel different from the next. For anyone who grew up there or has family in the district, that pattern is personal, and a black-and-white drawing gives it room to be seen.

Through roads
A handful of wider roads cross the district and link it to Serrekunda and the rest of the urban area. They give the composition a few strong lines to follow.
Near the coast
The Atlantic lies a few kilometres to the west. Depending on the framing, the map can hint at the coastal strip that shapes the whole urban area.

Zakaj Talinding
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
It makes sense for families spread between the Gambia, Europe and America, for whom the street with the family compound is the real address of home. The map gives that street a place on the wall, wherever you now live.
Personalise the title with the family name, use the subtitle for a date or a message, and keep or edit the coordinates. Choose Classic black & white for clarity, Sand or Paper for warmth, or Noir and Blueprint for a darker, more graphic look.
